One of the first activities undertaken in the development of Connections 2040 was an online transportation survey of those who live, work, visit, shop, and/or play in the Cedar Rapids area. The survey provided valuable information about the opinions and desires of the region’s transportation system users.

A summary of results from the survey responses are discussed in the following downloadable PDF's. Since the survey contained an extensive set of questions, only selected results are published in these reports. 

The survey was active for about eight weeks from November 18, 2009 to January 8, 2010. Over 300 people participated in both surveys. This represents a strong response by the general public, although it is recognized that some biases may be present in a semi-random, self-selected survey.  Full reports of the survey questions and responses in an unformatted version are available in the Documents section.
